part 1:

today's our anniversary! as mark left this morning and told me goodbye (while i was holding little blake) he made a comment how we've been busy since we got married. if you would have told me that we would have 2 kids by our 3rd year of marriage i would have laughed in your face. if you would have told me i would be doing photography on the side while raising my kids i would have thought that to be only a dream. i can't imagine our lives without these two little munchkins. one a blessed surprised and one planned, but both incredibly wanted and loved. not all days are perfect. some days are better than others. but i've never missed my old job. the people? yes. but staying home with these babies is my life. something i never thought i would want to do.

so, how are we spending our anniversary? well, the kids and i (still weird to see kids plural) went to sonic to get mommy a large caffeine drink and then we went to the park. avery and i went down the slide about 20 times, tried to teach her to swing on her own, and had two nursing sessions for blake. we'll probably eat dinner and go for a walk if it cools off. we'll do bath time, do stickers, put avery to bed, then blake to bed and watch whatever tv show we have recorded. maybe we'll get crazy and have some cake and ice cream too! to most i'm sure this sounds boring but right now it sounds like the perfect night!

part 2:

blake is 2 weeks old! we went in yesterday for the 2nd part of his newborn screening and he weighed 8 lbs 9 oz! we left the hospital at 7 lbs 3 oz so he's gaining weight! :) he's starting to get little rolls and a double chin! just some snapshots from today! the ones of after were after we'd already been outside at the park for an hour. so, yes, that's sweat!
