we came home the other night and there was a lizard on the door inside. as avery stands watching the lizard mark takes his shoe off and watches it as well. then BAM, he hits it and it falls to the floor. avery, still standing and staring just watches. a minute passes as mark picks him up and disposes of him. then avery says "daddy hit lil lil door, up high". it's been 3 days now and if you ask avery if she saw a lizard her response is "daddy hit lil lil, night night". it doesn't matter that she's seen many very much alive lizards since then! :)
