i'm writing this for advice. avery will not be spoon fed. well, she will if you turn the tv on but that's not how i want to run things. she loves cheese and yogurt and fruit. she's becoming super picky. if anyone has any suggestions please post a comment! here is an example of food today.
breakfast - some poptart and peach (her friend finished the rest)
lunch - 1/2 a cup of yogurt (that was force fed)
snack - 1 pita chip,a couple bites of cheese, 6 bites of green veggies (the veggies required the tv)
dinner - string cheese and milk
IDEAS PLEASE! :) thanks!

Aubrey - does she like to be in control? Natalie was like that, and so we made really thick rice cereal - like the smallest amount of water or milk to make it not powdery- and just let her at it. She could pretty much just shove the spoon in and pull it out and the cereal would stick to all sides of the spoon. Once she mastered that, we added fruits & veggies to the mix. Hope you find an answer!

oh thank you!!! i will try that when she wakes up. except i'll have to use oatmeal because that's all we have. i think she just likes feeding herself. this morning i tried eggs, oranges, and toast. just not all at once and she maybe had some of the toast and just wanted milk.
We did cinnamon toast waffles w c for breakfast- he could feed himself and he loved them. He also loved those nasty kids chicken sticks...and starting at one- we let him try to eat almost everything we ate with his fingers. He also loved scrambled eggs and baked apples. Again w fingers. Oh and he liked those lunchable juniors- great for on the go- mini cheese, crackers and meat.
lunchables! that might be it! i found all this freeze dried food and she loves it but not the most nutrious. and K she won't eat eggs, pancakes, waffles. anything for breakfast that's good besides donuts you won't eat! she likes super crunchy things is what i think i'm learning.
