i remember when the only thing i had to schedule was when i was going to meet a friend for dinner or workout . i remember when my phone would ring and i could answer it immediately or not worry that i might not be able to finish a conversation. i remember when i used to actually know where my cell phone was at all times! i remember when it was ok that the dishes were stacked because i could get to them later. i also remember coming home from vacations and leaving my laundry because that was the only thing that needed to be done. i only wish now. all of my laundry was done the day we got back, yet there was still so much to do. normally i know when we are running low on milk, bread, toilet paper... today i woke up only to be searching in every single bathroom (all 4 of them) for TP and there was no back-up to be found! again, normally this wasn't a big deal except i hadn't "scheduled" a trip to target this morning. but, we need TP so off to target we went. normally, avery would get a snack before her nap but that didn't happen either. she didn't even get home awake. which, in case you didn't know, it's just another thing to do before you actually get to unloading the groceries. forget about the milk in the 90 degree weather that's sitting in your trunk because you have to take your kid out first. and maybe it's easy for some people but, to get avery out of the carseat, into the house, turn off the alarm, make it upstairs, through the obstacle course of baby gates blocking the stairs, turn the fan on, get her sleep sack on, and finally put her down without waking her up is a challenge. but, she made it down and the important stuff made it in. now, where's my cell phone?
with all of this being said, i'm sorry if i don't call you back right away. or if i don't always seem like i'm 100% in the conversation. i promise i am and i've become really good at multitasking. :)
but, it's all worth it, even if simple tasks take 3 times as long to do
