my amazingly, talented friend, kelly garvey took our maternity photos for us! these are from her website! it feels like just yesterday we took pictures with blake.
i was 30 weeks pregnant. i am so thankful for all of these pictures. avery turned 4 this week as well so it was a special time. this will most likely be our last baby. the last time i will ever be pregnant. such a sweet time and amazing chapter in our lives. i remember wanting my first pregnancy to fly by because i was so impatient and now that it truly is i want to freeze time. i love feeling all the kicks and rolls. it's the best part of being pregnant! avery is as sweet as can be and loves kissing the baby. her favorite is when the baby gets the hiccups. which is all the time! blake loves kissing the baby and patting my belly but will only do so when it is bare. unfortunately, this day he was pretty tired and cranky. both kids didn't nap well (okay, avery didn't nap) and weren't totally into it. thankfully, kelly is a miracle worker! avery's smile at the bottom is priceless!
to my sweet third baby.
you were wanted. you were more than wanted. you were thoughtfully prayed for. you were not an accident. you were wanted. and i want you to know that. not everyone was supportive of our decision and it took it's toll on us. many tears were shed. many conversations were had. many prayers were lifted up for you. the pregnancy has been the best so far. it has been the easiest. the most carefree. i only worry because i feel like i should be worried more. you are in God's hands and it has taken be three pregnancies to let go of all the fear and truly enjoy every moment. so thank you. we can't wait to meet you. we can't wait to find out if the girls or the boys will rule the house. either way we are excited! you are currently breech and i can only pray as you get ready to meet us, you flip yourself around. i've decided to switch things up and try the drug free route. so if you could please flip on your own i would be most appreciative! someone said the third kid has to get attention somehow. maybe they were right. but, either way we love you! however you decide to come and join us we can't wait! but, until then keep growing big and strong because you have two big siblings waiting to play with you.

Aubrey, you & your family are gorgeous. Let me just encourage you - As someone who has had the odd experience of having 2 kids, then 3 kids, then 2 again, then 3 again...I think THREE is a great and awesome number of kids to have. Your made a good choice to follow your heart. When the Holy Spirit is speaking to you from your heart, not following that dream is not an option. I know not everyone in your life comes from a place to be able to understand that, but they will see the good fruit that God has planned for you and you will be a light that brings joy into their lives.
