today in public avery was pulling on my shirt. i walked around with my bra showing for who knows how long. awesome.

the funny part about my day is i spend all day trying to get things done and play with avery. by the end of the day i am ready for her bedtime. so at 8:30 she's down for the night. you would think i would run and change my clothes and do nothing. instead i find myself looking at pictures of her. it's rare that i go a night without looking at that sweet little face before i go to bed. it's usually a reminder of what a fun day we had or if it wasn't a good day i can see her cute face and no that tomorrow is another day, even if there is a chance it will be worse. she's just so sweet and such a blessing. she has so much love to give for being so little. she just hugs random people for no reason. she pats people and blows kisses to strangers. she waves hello to EVERYONE when we go to the store. you can tell that when strangers see her it really makes them happy. this sweet old lady probably spent a couple of minutes just talking to her today and playing with her toes and when avery smiled at her you could tell she felt special. i hope she continues to brighten peoples days forever because she truly has an amazing gift!

i almost forgot, avery's 7th tooth cut through. well, it probably cut through a day or two ago but i just noticed :)

i told myself right when avery went down i was going to mow. yet, here i am. the weather has been beautiful so we played outside this morning!

in happier news, i heard of this park near our house and i wanted to get some pictures of avery. of course, these days it requires me, avery and probably daddy. i bought her a tutu and wanted to get some pictures but i knew better than to do it alone. so last night we just went to check the place out. there were old houses and it pretty much involved me following {chasing} avery around. enjoy :)

i was playing with the camera and looked up and she had the BIGGEST smile on her face. i went to take a picture and they didn't quite get in focus but i still love it! atleast her ears are in focus! :)

how impressed am i of avery right now. i gave her a juice box and when the straw came out she put it back in the hole by herself! :)

so avery is getting better with her signing. we used to do it but then i stopped because she wasn't picking it up. now, she can pick up a word and use it correctly in a day. we have only learned a couple which include, all done, more, again, please and milk. this morning she was asking for milk. so i got a sippy cup and gave it to her only to watch her take the cup and give it to her teddy bear! i'm not sure whether to be mad or laugh. because really it was funny, but the stuffed animal doesn't need organic milk with dha! :) she's just so sweet sometimes it hurts! we also had a fun weekend in corpus. she got to play with cadie the dog which probably made her weekend. she hugged the dog and even ate it's food and drank it's water! here are some of the cell phone pictures and a video.

happy 15 months old to my sweet little girl! oh i wish my camera would come back from getting cleaned! she's getting so big and getting more fun (which equals more work) by the day. she is such a good baby and i couldn't have asked for a sweeter little girl! her vocabulary is expanding by the day! yesterday, she said "lasalala" which is lasagna and "apppaapa" which is apple. i know it sounds silly but it's so great she's trying. her favorite word is definitely up and she's still a cuddler and loves to sit in laps. :) which i should add, i just love!

mark's birthday is this weekend, but since he'll be out of town we went to a concert last night as an early birthday celebration. my friend, sarah watched avery and said she was great. here's a picture of the 3 of us before we left! thanks again, sarah!

i'm writing this for advice. avery will not be spoon fed. well, she will if you turn the tv on but that's not how i want to run things. she loves cheese and yogurt and fruit. she's becoming super picky. if anyone has any suggestions please post a comment! here is an example of food today.

breakfast - some poptart and peach (her friend finished the rest)

lunch - 1/2 a cup of yogurt (that was force fed)

snack - 1 pita chip,a couple bites of cheese, 6 bites of green veggies (the veggies required the tv)

dinner - string cheese and milk

football season is here and our little longhorn is enjoying it! mark and i also decided to make some changes to our appearance. mark buzzed (i say shaved) his head last weekend so this weekend i just chopped my hair too! i was told that now i have the "mom" look. i'm still not sure how i feel about that comment but i have accepted that i am a mom. :)

15 months...

almost! i thought we were going to be out of town next week and turns out we're not. i rescheduled avery's 15 month check-up for today. she's still getting bigger, she's just not big! :) we went to a new doctor today who avery LOVED! she kept bringing her books and she would read her a couple of pages, she let her play with her "toys" and when she left the room avery blew her a kiss (without me telling her to do so). the doctor said we didn't need any shots. but, she then returned and said she needed one after all and we got her flu shot before flu season gets started.

avery and i have been having a great couple of days. i always try to keep extra busy when he is out of town. today we went swimming with friends, shopping at the galleria, and ended our day at the inflatable zone. she was so cute going down the slides and what not there. the difficult part is at night. i just can't seem to get it together. after bath we were going through our nightly routine. diaper, crap, all out upstairs. diaper, check. pajamas on, check. sleepsack, double crap, back down. sleepsack, check. milk, triple crap, are you kidding me? milk, check. books and bed. tonight there was nothing that was going to go wrong. we came home from the inflatable zone and i put her in her highchair. i'm talking to my mom and i see avery throw up. "crap, i'm going to have to call you back." i go and pick avery up, throw up, throw up, throw up. all over the kitchen, all over the highchair, all over me. note to self: DO NOT let child jump around for an hour and then chug milk. not to mention she had a cup of yogurt before we went. my kitchen STUNK! so, scratch dinner, straight to the bath. both of us know wearing only our shorts because everything else is soaked. draw bath put avery in. she stands up and starts peeing. GIVE ME A BREAK! take avery out, drain water, start another bath. grab the towel, turn around and avery is walking in the tub and slips backwards. why now? get back downstairs. how do you keep and feed a 14 month old when the highchair and floor are dirty. *light bulb* the bumbo is in the car. grab avery, grab bumbo and we're ready for dinner. of course she won't eat. up to bed, read books, time to call daddy and tell him goodnight. avery see's his picture on my phone and immediately starts saying dada. she's kissing the phone, hugging the phone, pointing and saying dada. she just couldn't get any sweeter.

and, in case you were worried, avery is just fine. :) and pizza and ice cream made me a little better too.

my camera is off getting cleaned. so, it's going to be some phone pictures for awhile. usually when i'm taking pictures of avery she is doing something cute (in my opinion) and i have time to go and grab my camera. i can adjust the settings and frame it the way i want. but, i don't always capture those everyday moments. with a cell phone you don't have those options. so, these will be from my perspective. what i see on a daily basis. if you ever wondered what avery does when i do the dishes, wonder no more! :)
