this weekend we went down to corpus for aunt allison's surprise going away party!!! she was surprised which means it was a success! we took a picture (posted below) before we left and i packed up the camera and left it! we went down for allison and i got no pictures of her! but, regardless it was a great weekend and we always love every minute we get to spend with her. the next time we see her we'll probably be in LA! :)

on another note, we are going on vacation THIS week. thursday to be exact. we have been planning this for awhile now! i know we will miss the sweet pea but for now we am really excited. with avery's skin and rash we have to avoid sunlight and the heat. well, in texas that pretty much means i have to be indoors all.the.time. i love being outside and am SO looking forward to spending more than 5 minutes out in the sun! not to mention sleeping in!!! i think every night i tell mark how many more days until we get to sleep in. i know i'm probably kidding myself and will wake up but i'm pretty sure if i try really hard i can go back to sleep. and last but not least, probably the most important, i'm looking forward to hanging out with mark, just the two of us. i love avery more than anything and i put all of my energy and time into avery during the day. so, naturally when she goes to bed we are both ready to do what we want to do. and sometimes it's not always the same things, which is normal. so, i'm looking forward to just spending some quality time alone with mark. i'm a huge planner so i've done my best to not plan anything. although, i'm sure once we get there i will have our week planned out before you know it! :) they have zip lining close so i know that will be on the agenda! i can't wait!

i decided to make avery some jewelry so we went to hobby lobby and bought some beads and string after we almost bought her a necklace this weekend for $6 that was maybe worth about .50 cents. the best part of the trip was when we were heading to check out. if you didn't know, avery LOVES dogs. well, there was an entire display of stuffed puppy dogs. i stopped the cart in front of them and just waited. her eyes got so big and her whole face lit up and she saw them and she just started pointing and "ruffing". i, of course picked one out and handed it to her and she hugged it, kissed it, and repeated about 100 times. we of course came home with the puppy dog and she slept with it last night. it was the cutest thing i have ever witnessed. naturally, we made the puppy a collar that matches her necklace. :)

avery has 5 teeth now!!! this week she's gotten a tooth a day so i expect by tomorrow she will have 6! :)

we took avery to the doctor today and they said just to put the cream on her that we already had and see what happens in a week. we did have a great weekend! my college roommate, jessica, and her husband and nephew came over and swam. unfortunately, i didn't have my camera that day so i didn't get many pictures. sunday we went to the mall and i put avery's hair in pigtails! :) the color is messed up when i uploaded these but i'm pretty sure you just want to see avery!

i've been a slacker blogger which equals a fun and busy week! these pictures are from last sunday when we went to the aquarium! and a couple of swimming pics too! :) this week aunt allison stayed with us before her big move to LA! :( but, we'll be going to visit very soon! :) avery also has a third tooth...FINALLY! turns out teething doesn't really bother her. it just popped through. she also has a rash on her face and neck. it has gotten worse and finally this afternoon her face looked so bad i called the doctor. apparently it didn't sound serious enough to make an appointment today but would see me on monday. i hope it goes away by then!

i did some photos of apartments and each one was staged. i got these flowers from it. i love them!

a huge storm rolled in and we were stuck at a show under the highway for about 45 minutes

we used to go out on saturday nights. we still go out, except we go to places that typically invovle getting some sort of treat! tonight we went to the sno cone stand and then to the park. i was so excited to upload the pictures. avery loves to swing and we even put her down the slide a couple of times! :) i just love her excitement! she was so cute that i just had to get a picture with her too! and yes, i even did a self timer picture right before we left. off to enjoy the rest of our saturday night!
