summer 2016

i shut down this blog for a year and now we're back! life got busy but i love going back and looking at all the old photos. so i'm going to attempt to get a little caught up! a little recap from the last year!!

april in texas is one of the best months! the weather is perfect! the bluebonnets bloom, soccer starts up, gardening starts, and just lots of sunshine! it also means i get to start swimsuit shopping for my favorite little people! <3 p="">

in may we took a trip to colorado to visit our family and i even snuck away to san francisco with mark for my birthday!

june usually means lots of pool time! avery turned 7 and we went to new braunfels for my family reunion!

july is usually a nice slow month. we took a trip down to corpus to see aunt allison! of course it wouldn't be july without some red, white, and blue and fireworks with friends!

august we celebrated the boys' birthdays in florida, 8 years of marriage (which was spent in preschool orientation) and school started back---which means i didn't have time to make a collage.here are a few of my faves!

florida is def one of my favorite places! there is nothing more i love that these kids and this man. i also love photography. so the sunshine, beach, my people and my camera and i could stay there all day!these photos we took before dinner towards the end of our trip. i know not everyone loves photos as much as i do and so much bribing was going on but these photos bring me a whole lot of happy when i see them! we had a fun dinner at bud and alleys after this.

and of course most of our time was spent on the beach

and the food---who can forget all the awesome donut places there!

we said farewell with donuts on the beach with the sunrise! the only time i can honestly say the only time we will ever see me pop out of bed!

i can't even begin to express how thankful i am for this bunch of kids. their mom is a huge reason i haven't lost it completely. it's so fun to watch our kids form relationships with each other! love them all just like my own.

our sweet girl had her artwork chosen out of all the kindergarteners for the rodeo art show! she was pretty proud as were we.

Christmas

so, two months ago it was Christmas. i gave the kids the gift of a mom with no voice. they should be so lucky next year. ;) it was a  bit non traditional, but the kids had both their grandmas and spent the day in the pajamas. we didn't have a traditional dinner either but mark grilled and we got to see some dear friends that evening for a quick visit.  

mark had a work trip to china so i entertained myself and took some pictures by the tree before christmas eve. i was glad i did it earlier this year! :)

february happenings

our sweet + spunky little 2.5 year old! :) hard to believe my "baby" is half way to the three. he is still super cuddly at bed time. he loves his "blanks" as he affectionately calls them. he loves to eat all foods and is getting into coloring and painting. he still hasn't decided which hand he wants to use. 

we celebrated valentine's day the way people do with kids! cake + candles!

it took a few days for us to sign all of our valentine's but this kid got it done. they were paw patrol of course. he also had his valentine's day party at school! love his sweet teacher! we also love our little cousin who is turning into a big girl herself. 

this right here. pretty much sums up life with these two. i never have a clue what they are trying to do but they seem to have fun together. until, they get themselves in a situation when they need me.

this girl celebrated her 100th day of school. she made this cute shirt with her gigi. me + gigi got to help out at her school with different activities for the occasion.
 
last, but not least the broncos won the super bowl! mark is still riding the high from that game!
