did i forget to mention someone can sit up by themselves?

6 months old!

before i forget and misplace the sheet i need to document this so i can put it in the book at the end of the year. my little man is doing great! he finally gained his weight back from the last 3 weeks. makes me sad for him but hopefully he will catch back up! he's starting to do really well sitting up and is more stable every day! now for the numbers!

weight: 16 lbs 11 oz - 34 %

height: 26.75 inches - 60%

yes, you read those percentages correctly. i didn't switch the numbers around. :)

i know i have abandoned the blog. i have pictures, they are just sitting on my memory card. the last couple of weeks i've just been trying to keep everyone healthy and happy. blake has not been teething with ease as avery did. the weather has been rainy so we've been playing indoors. tomorrow is a big deal. blake turns six months. with the way i am acting you would think i was sending him off to college. my baby. my little boy is turning six months old. i just don't understand how this could happen. i'll get a hold of myself tomorrow. until then, i'm just being sentimental! my little man. with his little tooth. teething is serious business. it means to need to bite everything!

happy valentine's day

i've been so excited to share these pictures of avery (and blake) and the day is finally here!!! we destroyed the house completely yesterday making valentine's for her class. thanks pinterest for all the great ideas. if only they would come and clean up your messes!

its been raining all week and we literally didn't leave the house once all.week.long. if you can try to imagine the crazy i've been feeling if you know me. blake has a cold and when one of my kids gets sick i pretty much put us on lockdown. i go a little crazy. i admit. i finally took my camera out on thursday to take some pictures. i knew if i kept it out it was only a matter of time before avery did something sweet. she's pretty much always sweet to blake. it's just her personality. it's also funny to hear her tell him "it's okay buddy", "aw poor blakey, you have a cough". and then of course the "be quiet buddy!". in a more stern voice. (whoops) i get frustrated sometimes. i'm not perfect. the pictures are a little grainy bc like i said it was really dark outside and 4:30 so my iso went way up! but i love them!

it started out going to get blake out of his crib after his afternoon nap and then we propped him up in the bed.

i knew before long she'd take his sleep sack off. she does this everytime if i don't.

he just loves to watch her.

yes, another confession. i let my kids jump on the bed. she's only 24 pounds. and she's a kid. you can judge me. it's okay.

and then those sweet words i love to hear. "you wanna read a book blakey? okay. i read you a book" *note to self: must record this*

and i am proud to say we have gone out to our cousin's house and shopping and she has gone potty!

the people (gigi and mimi) want pictures. so the people will get pictures! :) blake is now a belly sleeper and avery is potty training (finally). it's been rainy outside and blake has a cold and school was out on thursday so i figured why not. so far we've only peed all over the floor once in the last two days. we've done a lot of hop scotch and bubbles this week. i welcome the weekend!

i'm sort of embarrassed by this picture but i think it's funny. i was making dinner and avery loves to give blake a bottle so she did.
