i apologize for typos when emailing. lately i always seem to have a helper! as i am trying to respond to emails with my calendar open avery has so nicely colored in many days. maybe she's reserving those for something special!

i've been keeping this a secret long enough!!! avery is going to be a big sister to a little BROTHER!!! we are so excited!

everything looks great and is growing perfectly. i was told today to expect a 8 pound baby, what??? i can do it, i hope! we are due august 12, 2011! this summer you can find me floating in the water! :)

these pictures are from this morning. his hands, feet, and everything was perfect! he even gave us a little wave and flipped around!

has it been over a week with no posts? i'm finally getting caught up and back to taking pictures of the sweet pea. it's been really cold here, by texas standards atleast so we've been staying indoors. i signed avery up for preschool next year but we won't find out if we get in until february. we went for a tour today and she was upset because she couldn't go in with the kids. i think she's ready for something like that a couple days a week. they said only about 1/3 get in so my fingers are crossed! anyways, i call this series, waking up. :)

all i have is a couple of pictures so far. here are a few mark took on Christmas.

this one i am especially proud of him for taking! i love it! what we didn't get was a picture with all of the stockings. you can see them in the background. we all have handmade stockings from grandma gaye!

big girl

have i mentioned what a big girl avery is now. yes, there is really no need to cut up a lot of things and she can drink out of a cup, without a lid. when did this happen?

happy new year!!! we survived our trip to colorado! it was a great visit with some unexpected sickness going on through our family! but, everyone is healthy and we are getting back to our routine. sadly, i didn't see any of Christmas because i was in bed all day but mark did bring the camera up to me and i switched the lens so a few pictures to come. when we got back avery had her 18 month appointment! she's still small, 19 lb 12 oz! (yeah, that's the 1% in case you were wondering) and her height is short. i don't even know where the piece of paper is but it's safe to say short! :) she knows twice as many words as she needs to and in the last couple of days and started putting two words together. who knew "hi mama" could be the sweetest thing i've ever heard!
