i ordered a new blanket for my newborn shoots! of course i had to try it out on my blue eyed baby! :) seriously whose eyes are that big and blue? i'm *attempting* to take photos of avery this evening. we'll see how that goes! :)

my friend suzanne (of suzanne sawyer photography) came over and snapped a couple of photos of me + blake + avery. i still have more to go through but so far i loved this one!

i wish i was more organized and sent these out in the mail! but this virtual card will have to do! happy new year!

CHRISTMAS 2011

what a wonderful Christmas we had! we shared it with our family and avery and blake had both grandmas here! we baked a lot of cookies with gigi, avery got her hair blow dried for church by mimi, and then we spent all Christmas morning taking our time opening presents. it was dark and overcast (and cold) so we stayed in our pajamas the entire the day and it was great! mimi got her very own stocking made this year from gigi (see all of our beautiful hand made stockings by gigi below)! my favorite gift was my coffee mug that avery painted for me! my coffee tastes much better, especially with coffee from our new fancy coffee maker from mimi! it was such a nice time and blake's first Christmas will always be remembered and cherished! enjoy these photos from the days leading up to Christmas and Christmas day! in the first ones avery was chearing on gigi as she rolled out the dough. she was saying "roll gigi, roll!" love her!

snapshots

i snap photos daily of my kids. believe it or not i don't share all of them. mostly because they are nothing special. just snapshots of a typical day. but i haven't taken any in a couple of days and was just doing a photo dump. so this is all i got. just my kids. but i know exactly what they were doing in each one and they mean something to me. :)

this was blake laying in the office with me while i was editing and avery was sleeping. he was so mesmerized by the lamp. it was a very dark and rainy day.

avery's latest thing is to be more baby like. she climbs into blake's office (aka exersaucer) daily.

just our tree this year. the "B" is new this year. can't wait for his first Christmas.

blake is sooo content just sitting up. it was bath time for both of them because mark had softball that night so i was alone and wanted to get them done early.

he's watching his sister jump on the bed. :)

he LOVES to grab his toes. he does it all the time.

and suck on his fingers.

and he's a thumb sucker. he finally doesn't mind the bath!!!

avery has been enjoying Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. she loves hermey!

she is a total couch potatoe!!!

and an electronic junky. you can't leave your phone or ipad within sight.
