one month old!

it's hard to believe i haven't had a full night of a sleep in a month already! but at the same time i feel like blake has always been a part of our family. avery loves the "baby" and is more help than i expected from a 2 year old. he continues to be a wonderful and sweet baby. he's definitely the calm one in the family. he's content just staring out the window on laying on your chest wide awake. he could teach us all to stop and take some time to enjoy what's around us. i'm actually at a loss for words as i try to describe how perfect he is. you just have to come and meet him. God has blessed us with blake and we couldn't be more grateful!

first bath

with soap! :) he's also started taking a bottle. if you are reading this and you think every baby will drink from a bottle you're very wrong. we screwed up with avery plain and simple. she took a bottle at first so we didn't offer it again. then, 4 weeks later she refused and refused and refused. needless to say, we own a lot of bottles that were never even used and she went straight to a sippy cup. so blake has been getting a bottle a day from gigi! so far so good! :)

sleep is a thing of a past in this house! but, i know we will sleep again someday! :) turns out when you add a baby to your family your life doesn't stop! friday comes a lot faster than it used to it! i haven't decided if this a good or bad thing...

our sweet cousin, gabi spent the weekend with us for labor day! we enjoyed the park, swimming, and tea parties!
