park play.

it has been cold + rainy for a long time around here! i've been wanting to take pictures of the kids ever since will was born! they are changing and growing but not quite as fast as will so sadly they get neglected. the sun finally came out today. they love the park and i love taking photos so i thought it would be the perfect opportunity for all! 

they went straight for the swings! blake LOVES to swing! or "go high" as he says. 

when they play hide and go seek blake covers his eyes and walks around. needless to say he falls down a couple of times in the process. 

and will. i had to use my secret weapon bc he was not happy. worked like a charm! 

then there's my collector. :)

thankful.

oh how i have so much to be thankful for. i've been reflecting a lot like everyone else during this time. this is my "busy season" for photos. i jumped right back in after will and haven't stopped since. a break is coming and i will be welcoming it. my days with three go by fast. some minutes feel like hours but for the most part we get along pretty well. it's like a triage center at some point every day because everyone needs something in the exact same moment. so, you make a quick decision of who needs the most help at the present time. typically, a tv show can distract a two year old and the baby just wants to be held. but, sometimes those minutes feel like they are never ending with everyone talking/screaming/crying! i've been told recently by a couple of people how lucky my kids are. my kids are not lucky. i am the lucky one. i don't know what i did to deserve these kids who are so sweet natured and loving. so thoughtful and kind. a four year old who just wants to be held and cuddled and to tell you about her day. who wants to help you do anything. a two year old who makes you melt when he says the word poop. he's so precious that you just have to smile at him even if he's saying such a gross word. who asks for "more more kiss'" from his sister every night. then, the ever so chubby and lovable three month old. how do babies wake up so freaking happy? it still baffles me. as if seeing me in the morning is the best thing ever. you have to smile back! even if 30 seconds earlier all you wanted to do was ignore the stirring and keep sleeping. because suddenly those eyes you could barely open are filled with happiness and overcome with love. my kids drive me crazy most days. but, by no means are they the lucky ones. it is me. i am so thankful and lucky to be their mom. somedays i feel like i'm just not that good at it at all. i could use a redo button a lot.
but, i couldn't be more thankful for these three healthy and loving kids!

sip + see

we did some sipping and looked at will. my awesome friend's amanda + catherine put together this beautiful spread for a small group over the holiday weekend for will. it was so nice of them and greatly appreciated! i took some pictures at the very beginning and the end so didn't get to take will's picture with everyone. but, i think will enjoyed and was on his best behavior! :)

and of course he gives the best smile for the cell phone pic!
