my sweet avery. she is about to be the oldest child. in 10 short weeks she will no longer be the "baby" in the family. but, she will always be my baby. she is so sweet natured. she still sleeps in her sleep sack and likes to be rocked before naps. she tries to be funny and continues to do something when we laugh. she grabs my hand for no reason just because she wants to hold it. she tries to be so helpful and hand me one article of clothing at a time while i put in the washer. if you ask her what color something is she will most likely say yellow. she asks for the why song everytime we get in the car. when asked how old she is going to be she says happy. when i try to close my eyes she yells "do bah dayo". (evidenced by pictures number three) i hope she will always know how much we love her. i hope she will share her love with her brother and protect him at the park. i hope she will always be there for him and be a good role model.

i had to ride in the backseat with her so she wouldn't fall asleep. :)

well, we've had a busy couple of weeks over here. it's been a little too eventful for me but everyone is doing great. after much anticipation and hoping not to fail my one hour glucose test i did. i'm pretty sure i got a worse than failing grade and ended up at the diabetes center. thank you to my wonderful cousin, katie, mark was able to go to the appointment with me. more than a week in i think my blood sugar is looking good and checking my blood 4 times a day isn't as bad as i thought. greek yogurt is the new ice cream, did you hear? i think we were a little more active than normal this weekend and ended up getting an ultrasound yesterday to make sure everything was okay. little blake was SO cute! he kept pressing his little face up against my stomach and sucking and opening his mouth. he's head down and butt up and weighs 3.2 pounds! of course they were more interested in checking everything out but naturally i asked for a picture! maybe i'll photoshop the word placenta out! :) we also made our first baby purchase and bought his bedding!!!

i've also been doing some online searching for baby stuff! look at my dream stroller - the bob ST1043 Revolution Duallie! it only sells for $629. insert jaw drop here! why can't another company design one with one front wheel and lightweight! maybe sometime i'll start a stroller company!

the swimming lessons are going well. she swims to the steps and loves swimming back and forth to mark and i in the pool. she even floats on her back by herself.

there's only one problem....

she cries the whole time and says mommy!

i love avery! she is turning into such the big kid these days! i really wanted to wait to potty train until blake came and she started preschool but she may train herself before i get to it. yesterday morning she stood up and said poopoo, i checked and there was nothing. 1 minute later there was something. today i got her set up with breakfast and went into the other room to do something. i can summoned by the screaming of mommy and when i went into the kitchen she was standing in her highchair and had neatly taken her diaper off and put it on the tray. everything around her was clean and she even put her plate on the counter. apparently she is recognizing when she has to go. most other moms would be so excited but i really just wanted to wait until all of the major changes were over. i guess we'll start poopoo training first. maybe next week!

i also think it's safe to say avery isn't really interested in basketball! she wasn't going to have the height for it anyways! :)

here's a quick update on baby blake! here's doing great and growing! i had my glucose test today so let's all pray i passed the first time! i have made our house eat grilled chicken and vegetables for 4 days in a room. mark even lost 2 pounds! LOL! after the appointment we met a friend at a hamburger joint and will be celebrating my birthday tonight at an italian restaurant! i now am almost in my 3rd trimester and will see the doctor every 2 weeks! pretty sure it might be time to start looking for a crib! i had only gained a pound since my last appointment but he grew and is now measuring a week ahead of schedule so everything is looking great! apparently cutting out the fast food multiple times for breakfast a week makes for a healthier lifestyle! :)

i asked mark to take some pictures of avery and i on mother's day. words were coming out of his mouth which included, the camera won't focus, you guys are blurry, i don't know how to work this thing. just because you have a nice camera doesn't mean you will get awesome pictures! hopefully he will want to learn before blake arrives!

on a pregnancy note, i would like to say carrying a boy and carrying a girl are two very different experiences for me! avery was high, very high. blake is low, way low! i think i prefer high. not that i don't feel relief when he kicks me in my hip bone. whenever i lay down at night to go to bed he kicks the crap out of the bed for a good 30 minutes. i tell mark and last night he felt it. mark made a comment how he felt him across my entire belly. proceeded with the question, "does it hurt?" followed by my reaction, "YES!" i love his comments sometimes!
